The new Puma x _J.L-A.L_ collaboration arrives as a proposal that brings together technical apparel and two sneakers designed with precision and functionality in mind. A collection that reinterprets sportswear through a more experimental and contemporary lens.

_J.L-A.L_: design through research

Behind _J.L-A.L_ is British designer Jean-Luc Ambridge Lavelle, whose practice sits at the intersection of fashion, architecture, and industrial design. Since its inception, the brand has developed an approach rooted in the research of materials, processes, and structures, moving away from conventional aesthetics to focus on how garments and objects are truly constructed.

The _J.L-A.L_ universe is defined by a technical, almost experimental aesthetic, where form follows function rather than the other way around. This philosophy has taken shape both in its own collections and in collaborations with performance-oriented brands. One of the most notable examples is its work with HOKA, where it reimagined models such as the HOKA Mafate x _J.L-A.L_ and the _J.L-A.L_ x HOKA Tor Ultra Low.

The Puma x _J.L-A.L_ collaboration translates this same approach into the German brand’s universe, using its performance heritage as a foundation and reinterpreting it through a more experimental logic.

In footwear, the Cell Geo 1 x _J.L-A.L_ stands out, available in the Midnight and Umbre colorways. These sneakers feature Puma CELL technology, recognizable for its visible structure that delivers cushioning and stability, here reworked with a more architectural perspective. The design emphasizes clean lines, technical construction, and a restrained color palette that reinforces its functional identity.

The proposal also extends to apparel and accessories, including standout pieces such as the BB Cap, Hobo Bag, CLRT Pants, and CLRT Jacket.

Overall, the collection reflects on how sportswear should evolve in a context where technical performance and everyday wear are increasingly connected.
