In 2024, New Balance and Miu Miu reinvented the iconic 530 as the lightweight, almost deconstructed 530 SL. Unveiled during Fashion Week, the silhouette featured a vintage yet sophisticated aesthetic with distressed suede, premium mesh, and double lacing. The release caused an immediate stir—selling out in minutes and popping up in influencer campaigns. More importantly, the 530 SL gave streetwear a design that made its way into luxury store windows and reselling platforms alike.

Rosalía Debuts the New Balance 204L

The New Balance 204L (U204LMMA) cranks up the hype even further—not just because it borrows key elements from the Miu Miu x New Balance collab, but also because it’s fronted by Rosalía, the brand’s new global ambassador.

The 204L features a low-cut silhouette inspired by early 2000s running styles, with soft lines and layered suede finishes. Its elegance also stems from its “Mushroom” colorway, blending light brown and beige tones for a look that feels every bit as elevated as the Miu Miu drop.

Back in May 2025, the global superstar made waves at the Met Gala by wearing the New Balance 442 PRO FG V2—a bold nod to her cultural influence. Now, with the launch of the 204L, Rosalía stars in a cinematic, multipart campaign that brings together music, fashion, and her unmistakable identity.
